Originally from Philadelphia, I moved down to Virginia to pursue my passion for teaching physics.  I majored in Physics in college and graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. in Physics and minors in Chemistry and Mathematics.  After a very short-lived pursuit of a PhD in Nuclear Physics, transitioned back to my original dream of teaching high school physics.

Outside of teaching I love playing recreational sports and barbecuing/grilling out.  I love playing basketball, volleyball, ultimate frisbee, football, rugby, and just about any other sport you can think of.  I actually created a sport in college (we called it  Ram Ball) which is a mix of football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, rugby, kronum, and European handball.  The picture to the left is me (top right) and my beach volleyball team after winning the championship last summer.  The picture above is the Philadelphia skyline.

"There is no science in this world like physics. Nothing comes close to the precision with which physics enables you to understand the world around you. It's the laws of physics that allow us to say exactly what time the sun is going to rise. What time the eclipse is going to begin. What time the eclipse is going to end."
